This week for my literacy we have been looking into genres and what they are. Genres are a certain type of movie some genres are action, horror, fantasy and sci-fi. We've also been reading a book called the giver.The giver is a book about the giver is a morally driven and interesting story about a young guy named Jonas who lives in a society free of crime and sadness. at the age of 12,  children are assigned their jobs, which they will train for and do for the rest of their lives. everything is chosen from your parents to your partner. 

This week we have been in level 3 for covid and some kids have been going to school because their parents are essential workers me and my sister are some of those kids. We have been having google meets every morning at 9:30 am and every day around midday at 11:30 am. When we've finished our work for the day we get to have fun and play games we are also aloud to bring card games and board games. How have your guys week been?.

Today for our Wednesday activity we learnt about renewable energy What is renewable energy? Well It is often referred to as clean energy, it comes from natural sources or processes that are constantly replenished. For example, sunlight or wind keep shining and blowing, even if their availability depends on time and weather. Renewable energy is generated from the environment's natural resources: wind, water, sun and geothermal. For something to be renewable, it doesn't disappear when it's used. That means we harness these sources as they flow through our hydro stations, wind farms and solar panels.

This week for maths we have been doing some fun activities like making animations, our animations have to include probability like mine is an animation about the probability of the weather changing on a sunny day and raining when I am camping. here's a link to my animation.

This week we have baked for maths why you might ask well we use measurements in baking so that is why we were.We split into groups of four and gathered our ingredients then we came to school and we made some chocolate cupcakes and we created a slideshow of the stuff we needed and how to make it also we wrote down what went good what didn't go so well and what we could have done better and here is a link to our slides.Here is an image of our final outcomes.

the holocaust

This term for writing we have been learning about the holocaust. Our teacher gave all of the people in my writing group a book called once and it is about a boy in the holocaust called Felix and he is Jewish so he has to try to survive because the holocaust was a time were the Nazi's persecuted Jewish people,disabled people, gypsies and others.And you can understand living a life surrounded by Nazis when you are Jewish and how hard it is.

My literacy group this term have been working on google sites about the holocaust and they include information about the concentration camps and other things that include the holocaust.Here is mine i hope you like it. here is a link

this is where some people come over and play basket ball and then this other dude comes up with his eshay buddies and tells the people with the red cap and blond hair to go but they don't listen so they eshay pushes the dude with the blond hair over.

 whats up bloggers this week for writing we have been doing science and this is my report on the experiment what powdered substance would melt ice fastest and this is it my wondering was that i know that salt eats away at ice but do other powdered substances work the same,my hypothesis is that i think citric acid will melt faster than salt,my materials were 5 containers,salt,baking soda,citric acid,sand,sugar,freezer,measuring cup/spoon,flat surface,even temperature room and my variables for controlled are amount of ice, independent powders,dependent was reaction.

this week we have been finishing off our websites.But not the whole website just one part of it which are the characters this is my website on hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy I started on arthur and now i'm moving on to zaphod it's not finished but here is a sneak peek of it.Obviously this is not my whole website but it is a little screenshot of the front page i'm going to have it finished nearly by the end of the term maybe earlier.

this week we have been doing art and we are making a time capsule 
that we are going to bury and in 40 years the next generation are 
going to open it up and find a lot of our work on covid 19. This
 picture is one piece of my work that is going in the time

This week we were starting maths at school and I'm in Mr shaws math group so we went to the dungeons/makerspace and we made some 3D shapes on isometric paper i will show you mine
I had to make three things out of 5 blocks so i made three of them here in this image of my 3D shapes I've labeled the five blocks and the ten blocks. I really like  doing things like this because it is really easy.(scroll down)

 we are all at home and we are probably going to be at home for a couple of months .
We are starting off literacy by making schedules so we know what we are doing and
 when we are doing it and also to stay sane so we can follow it.Here is my schedule

here it is.
 First at 8:30 AM i wake up and get my laptop set up.
Next at 9:00 AM we have the google meets until 10.00 AM.
At 10:30 AM i go out to play on the trampoline.
At 11:00 AM i have morning tea.
At 11:30 AM i have games with my little sister.
At 12:00 PM i have lunch.
At 12:30 PM i blog the things that i've done.
At 1:00 PM its free time.
At 1:30 PM i make airfix with my dad.
 At 2:00 PM i am getting ready for google meets.
At 2:30 PM i have google meets.
At 3:00 PM i finish everything.

This term we are making portraits!
we were also learning about romero britto this is my self portrait compared to some of his art

romero britto did some very awesome portraits and inspired
so many people.
















And we are beginning to make them,now i'm done you will see

What is Waste

you all now about waste dont you because im going to show
 you some info that will help you discover what waste is about
what is waste? 
 How are we going to find a better way of making waste into
other useful things?
There are alot of things to focus about and
what i'm focusing on in this piece is food waste!

could eat all of it,to backup my idea there are tons and tons
